chilean lunch date...

After Tearsa's baby shower, I figured since I was in the Salt Lake area I should hit my brother up for a lunch date. I always have fun with Alex, but that is no surprise, we have been besties since birth :)

Alex wanted to take me to a Chilean restaurant he had discovered and really wanted me to try some authentic Chilean cuisine. (In case you don't read my blog regularly, Alex served an LDS mission in Chile)

I love when I get some alone time with my siblings, seeing that normally there is always so many of us when we get together now, our family just keeps growing! We talked the afternoon away and enjoyed some Chilean  Empanadas, which were great of course! Can't go wrong with bread and meat!

They were MUCH larger then I was anticipating though. I had a roommate from Argentina and she would make empanadas sometimes and they were NEVER as big as these things were. So to say I was STUFFED after is an understatement!

Thanks for the date bro ;)

  1. If you like Chilean food try Pantrucas in Provo. It is so good! Especially their fresh juice.

  2. OM NOM NOM NOM!

Note to self: try some Chilean in the near future.

This reminds me that tonight I'm making chicken souvlakis for dinner...mmmm. That combo of olive oil- and oregano-infused chicken, tomato, cucumber, red onion and tzatziki in a yiro hits the spot every time.

Aaaaaand I'm totally craving it now. Go faster, workday! Faster, I said! Heh heh.

  6. Cute! I love sibling dates too. There are four of us in my family, and while I love our big, boisterous family gatherings... I also love it when I can sneak a little alone time with each one. A different kinds of lovely :)
