pumpkins, pumpkins, pumpkins

My coworker and I were discussing how our husbands don't appreciate all the fun things about fall like we do. So we came to the conclusion we should just go to the pumpkin patch together! I haven't been to a pumpkin patch in forever, so I really soaked it all up and enjoyed walking around all the pumpkins and flowers.  I love pumpkins. My grandpa has always called me pumpkin, and maybe that is where the love started. I just love how festive they are :)

After we decided we weren't all that interested in actually carving them, we decided to turn them into vases and fill them with flowers. They turned out adorable! I wish I had gotten a picture of Lisa's because she made two and had them on her doorstep. Such a cute idea! It made me wish I had a proper doorstep, but alas, I am on the top floor of an apartment building. Oh grad school life.

I woke up this morning and huge gusts of wind had ripped a good chunk of the colorful leaves that was left. Winter is knocking on the door, and I am just not ready to say goodbye to fall! I will just have to enjoy my pumpkin flowers as long as possible.

On another note, I go to give a shout out to Alli. She blogs about her life and adventures with her little family. They are adorable. Don't take my word for it, check out her cute family photos she just posted on her blog! I love meeting new bloggers and getting a peek into their lives and interests, check out this great DIY yarn garland tutorial she shared. Alli's blog is definitely worth the read :) Check her out...

"pining" for the weekend :)

Pretty sure that the word "pining" works in a variety of ways when it comes to Pinterest... because I am literally "pinned" to my seat for WAY TOO LONG sometimes when I get on! haha In fact, I have even been avoiding it on the occasion because I know I don't have the time for it. Man it is addicting.
I figured I spend enough time creating my boards I may as well start sharing some with you. I think I might start posting some of my favorite pins of the week, on Fridays or Saturdays. I think I will call it "pining" for the weekend, get it?! haha I am so funny right? ha probably not, but I thought it was a clever play on words.
So on to the Pins shall we?!
Anyways, just thought I would share some lovely images found via Pinterest.
Come and find me because I love to be inspired by everyone's boards!

Here are some fall inspired pins for you, since I am feeling fallish... is fallish a word?!

Times they are a changin'

So I think it is officially Fall weather here in Utah.
The trees are yellow, and there is constant sounds of crunch with every footstep.
For the first time since Spring while walking to and from school and work, I was pretty chilly.
By the time I went to my six o' clock class I needed a jacket. Not just any jacket, my thinsulate one!
This officially means I will need a jacket from here on out until probably Spring.

Despite the cold, I actually love fall here in Utah.
Growing up in San Diego, I didn't really see any seasons change.
There really isn't anything more beautiful in nature to me then a sea of yellows, reds, and browns.
--that could just be my fetish and obsession with the color yellow :)

But anyways, it is beautiful here.
I wish it would just stay, JUST LIKE this and NOT SNOW.
But alas I can not change the weather. I can however change my blog :)
The change in the air must have ignited me to get bored with my blog lay out
&give my space a face lift!

(Fall 2010... Not really sure what I am doing with my hands there! HA. &Trevor has food in his mouth, but I thought it was a "fall" looking picture and taken in the fall...so alas!)
