Winter Holiday Looks for You and Your Little

Last week Ella and I had the pleasure of doing a little Mommy and Me Winter Holiday Style shoot with some other blogging ladies. Ella LOVED being around all the little kids and couldn't keep her eyes off of them! haha She was so curious and was "talking" up a storm. Gosh I love this little girl :)

Anywhoooo, we all put together different looks for the Holidays, from casual to dressy, there are some adorable ideas for your littles and you! Ella and I went for a more casual look, but added some nicer elements to the overall ensemble

I kept it simple in this super cozy sweater, and this fun herringbone vest that I got at a boutique years ago, but Target has a pretty similar one, as does JCREW. I paird this with some trusty leggings, and made the outfit feel a little nicer buy wearing some knee length heeled boots. You could make this outfit even more casual and comfortable by opting for these boots which are a favorite of mine right now for everyday wear!

Ella wore a similar colored combo in this black and white number from Carters. Who doesn't love Carters for babies? Everything they do I want in MY size! haha. The adorable glitter head band is from one of our favorite bow shops, Sticky Bliss, and the purple Moccs are from the amazing Freshly Picked

Smith's Gift Card Pairing

It seems like so many people have already left for their holiday vacations! It was a ghost town at work today. I went to the mall earlier this week to pick up some last minute gifts and it was bustling. It is that time of year! People trying to get those last minute gifts before Christmas.

Often times I like to grab a gift card so the person can pick out something they really want, but I always feel like a card just doesn't have the same feeling as a personal gift. So over the years I have done gift card pairings. Where you have the gift card but do something a little extra to spruce it up and make it feel a little more festive or fun.

Lucky for me, I have a Smith's right down the street from our apartment. Not only is this convenient for groceries, but they also have a huge selection of gift cards. It can be your one stop shop for getting everything you in need in one place.

I thought of a handful of great gift card pairings you could create just by going to your local Smith's grocery store!

Pair your gift card with something from the floral section! I found this adorable little Christmas themed fir that would be such an adorable gift.

Pair the gift card of your choice with your favorite candy! Or better yet a bouquet of candy!

Pair your gift card with an ornament you think they would like!

Need some even more ideas?

Stroll down the book aisle and pair your gift card with a book! Wrap a pretty ribbon around them both and voila!

Get a fun festive mug and fill it with hot cocoa and marshmallows! Stick your gift card in their too!

Find a great scented candle and wrap your gift card around it with some ribbon.

Wrap your gift card around some Martinellies or another holiday drink of your choice.

See how the possibilities are endless? Next time you need a quick convenient gift, stop by your local Smith's and do a gift pairing! You can make gift cards much more personal while still enjoying the convenience they provide!

Hope you are all on your way somewhere fun to spend the holidays with family & friends!

christmas girl's night out...

Me and my friends Kelsey and Diana decided we wanted to have a girl's night out Christmas Party! I absolutely love a good party, and was so excited to plan this little get together. We had a great spread of treats, hot chocolate, cake and galore!

While Christmas music played in the background, we chatted our heads off, exchanged gifts, and got sugar highs :)  Thankful for friends who have made living here amazing! I apologize now for the picture overload!

It put me right into the Christmas spirit, and I can't believe Christmas is next week! Hope you all are getting excited about your holiday plans this year! Only a few more days until my break starts and I CAN'T WAIT!

*Since I have had a lot of people ask, my sweater is from forever 21

turkey, turkey...

Trevor studied all morning and even right before we ate! Poor guy.
A very stuffed Trevor sleeping on my shoulder and me trying not to laugh too hard.
Serenading me with his piano skills.
&we ended with games :)

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving with family &friends! Our week was full of working, studying, family, yummy food, black friday deals, and getting some items checked off the ever growing to do list.

Pretty sure I want to vote to implement at least one National Holiday every month - I love the sound of long weekends to look forward to every four weeks or so :)

How was your Thanksgiving weekend?!
