Target and The Bump - Look One

DRESS: C/O LIZ LANGE // GINGHAM TOP (SIMILAR) // WATCH // BRACELETS // BELT (SIMILAR) // SHOES: TARGET //  // EARRINGS

It is going to be an exciting week here on the blog! I have teamed up with Target and The Bump to present five different maternity looks featuring items from the Liz Lange Maternity Collection. This was such a fun project to work on because, let's face it, learning how to dress your bump can be such a challenge! You have a whole new body type when your pregnant, and it can be difficult knowing what will work for your new curves. I have put together five looks that I find to be functional, comfortable, and cute (of course) ;) Let me know what you think and at the end of the week I will ask you to vote on your favorite one!

So let's talk about this dress! First off it is so extremely COMFORTABLE. The fabric just hangs on the body in the most flattering way, and it has a little bounce. It also is made with a really breathable fabric. Breathable fabric is a huge deal when you are pregnant! It has a versatile tie that you could wrap up to the front, or the back, depending on the look you are going for. If it is hot out, it is also a tank top style dress so you can easily cool off. If it is warmer you can add a cardigan without getting too hot under because it doesn't have sleeves. I love that about this dress! I paired it with this blue gingham top, and to emphasize my waist used a skinny belt to pull it all together. I picked a gold glittery one to match the gold strap on a pair of my favorite sandals. The possibilities are really endless with this dress, which is why I chose it! It has already become a staple in my pregnancy wardrobe and know I will use it a ton this summer.

The talented Brit Jacox, of Brit Nicole Photos, helped me out big time with this project! I love her bright, clean, esthetic and can't wait to share her work with you all week long. If you are looking for a photographer you should check her out, not only is she talented but she a blast to work with!

27 Weeks Pregnany Update!

It was really sunny and windy so excuse my squinted eyes! haha I saw this dress on ASOS weeks ago and as soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it. Have you ever had a moment like that while shopping? It was like, "Um yup, your mine!" haha Unfortunately this dress was apart of the packages that were stolen from my doorstep while we were gone in New York! BUT the customer service was amazing and they totally replaced it for me without any hassle! How amazing is that? I have always LOVED ASOS but after that they have my loyalty for life! I hope to still be able to wear even when I am not pregnant.

How far along: I am 27 weeks and 6 days

How big is baby: The baby is as big as a Rutabaga!

Weight Gain: Don't really weigh myself unless I have an appointment! Speaking of appointments, I have to do that Glucose test sometime soon.... BAH.

Sleep: I don't know what has happened this week but I am crossing my fingers that it lasts! I have been sleeping soooo well. I feel like the bigger I get the more comfortable my sleep has been? Is that normal? haha I am sure I will hit a point where that is absolutely not true anymore, but for now I am enjoying it.

Craving: I am back on the peanut butter and jelly train! I have been eating them all week. I also got the most insane craving for egg salad sandwiches yesterday so I have plans to make lots of those too :)

Random: I really miss my jawline! haha It is pretty much non-existent at this point. I mean, I had noticed that it was disappearing, but it wasn't until I saw a picture of myself from last summer that it really hit me! Oh well... someday it will return! haha

Feeling: I have been feeling baby girl, so much more! I don't know if she has always been so active, or if I am just feeling it more now that she is bigger, but I have been feeling much more than I normally do and I have been loving it. Keep it coming little one!

Dear Baby Girl,

This past week I went home to San Diego to attend a Baby Shower hosted in your honor! There are so many people that already love you. I don't know if you will ever understand how lucky you are. I have so many hopes for you in this life and having loyal, amazing, dedicated friends who love you unconditionally is such a big one. I hope that you will have that, and that you can be that for those around you. It was such a beautiful day, and at one point opening presents I just burst into tears. It wasn't the gift specifically that made me cry, but knowing that you would be here so soon and wearing these clothes and using these things, it just really hit me and made it all a reality. I am going to have a daughter! Thankfully I was amongst friends, but I was still a tad embarrassed I got so caught up in my emotions. You already mean so much to me, and you aren't even here yet. I have been working like a crazy woman trying to get everything ready for your arrival, I want everything to be perfect, but I know it won't be. I guess it is already a lesson in parenting... I want to be a perfect parent, but I know I will make mistakes because I am only human. But I love you more than anything and I think that is really what matters in the end. You will be loved perfectly!

Love,
Mom

San Diego Baby Shower

I love how this shot captures the emotions of the day on my face so perfectly! I am so lucky to have grown up with such amazing people in my life that truly feel like family! My heart is full. Thanks to everyone who showered my little girl with such amazing love!

As you saw in my last post, I just got back from San Diego! Oh San Diego, my heart! I am so happy I was able to make it back home for a baby shower. I still have so many friends and people who are honestly like family to me down there. I was excited that they wanted to host a shower for me! There is just something about being home in San Diego that just calms my heart. I love it.

The ladies really went above and beyond and put together such an adorable shower. There were so many details! I will just let the pictures do the talking but the whole thing was just so dang cute. I couldn't get over the beautifully made paper flowers, and the perfectly matched to the invitation icing on the mini donuts. Those mini donuts by the way were uh-mazing! Ashley did such a phenomenal job on them, which is no surprise since she does have a knack for party planning. Everything was amazing, thank you so much for everyone who helped put it together (Rebecca, Ashley, Cari, Mom) You Rock!

They got the invites and some matching shower décor from a great Etsy shop called Paiges of Style! She sells printable parties, which I think is just brilliant and such an easy way to incorporate a theme. They used this theme!

Such a scrumptious and adorable spread! :)
