San Diego Baby Shower

I love how this shot captures the emotions of the day on my face so perfectly! I am so lucky to have grown up with such amazing people in my life that truly feel like family! My heart is full. Thanks to everyone who showered my little girl with such amazing love!

As you saw in my last post, I just got back from San Diego! Oh San Diego, my heart! I am so happy I was able to make it back home for a baby shower. I still have so many friends and people who are honestly like family to me down there. I was excited that they wanted to host a shower for me! There is just something about being home in San Diego that just calms my heart. I love it.

The ladies really went above and beyond and put together such an adorable shower. There were so many details! I will just let the pictures do the talking but the whole thing was just so dang cute. I couldn't get over the beautifully made paper flowers, and the perfectly matched to the invitation icing on the mini donuts. Those mini donuts by the way were uh-mazing! Ashley did such a phenomenal job on them, which is no surprise since she does have a knack for party planning. Everything was amazing, thank you so much for everyone who helped put it together (Rebecca, Ashley, Cari, Mom) You Rock!

They got the invites and some matching shower d├ęcor from a great Etsy shop called Paiges of Style! She sells printable parties, which I think is just brilliant and such an easy way to incorporate a theme. They used this theme!

Such a scrumptious and adorable spread! :)

I was obsessed with these mini donuts. Good thing she made so many!

This picture isn't really clear, but my mother gave me several amazing gifts at the shower. She gave me my all time favorite item in life, my baby blanket. I carried that thing with me to college! haha She also gave me the outfit I wore from the hospital, which was beautiful! I think it was handmade by my Nana, she also gave me a beautifully handmade baby sweater also made for me by my Nana. My Nana has a true gift, and if all that wasn't amazing enough she also gave me my baby blessing blanket, dress and bonnet! I had never seen it in person before... well, besides when I wore it ;) This picture doesn't do the dress justice but it is so beautiful and I am so excited that my daughter will get to wear it on her special day! I love that my family has taken care of these heirlooms and that they can be passed down.
This was one of the funniest baby shower games I have ever played! There were these little babies frozen in ice cubes and the first person to get their baby out and shout, "My water broke!" won a prize! hahahaha It was hilarious. Yes, that is me below sucking on my ice cube trying to get my baby out!

Me and some of my most dear friends. Middle school and High School were awesome for me because of them! I really got lucky in the friend department :)
I didn't get a picture with everyone, but there were so many friends from all the different walks of my life! Like Mikelle who is a friend from my college days who happens to live in Cali now! (our picture turned out totally out of focus, boo) My piano teacher, the women who taught me at Church growing up, people who babysat me. Really, it was so amazing to be surrounded by so many people I have looked up to over the years, and that genuinely care about me. Thank you everyone who came out, it was so much fun!
