I can already tell how difficult it is going to be for me to keep a weekly update going on during this pregnancy. I am slammed at work, so I am exhausted at the end of the day. I don't have much time, let alone the energy, on the weekends to run errands, clean, and do blogging/youtube updates! I have been slacking. I am going to keep trying, but I might miss a few weeks here and there.
How far along: I am 15 weeks and three days.
How big is baby: The size of an ORANGE. Last week it was the size of a Lemon, it is amazing to me how quickly they grow!
Weight Gain: I have put on about 8 pounds.
Maternity clothes: I still need to go out and buy some maternity clothes, or at least something that is more comfortable. I am at the point where I am putting on about three different outfits in the mornings because nothing fits right!
Stretch marks: I did notice a few faint ones on my breasts, which I kind of expected since I couldn't even fill an A cup a few months ago and I am now close to needing new bras! haha
Sleep: I have good nights and bad nights. I have had a few more bad nights this week because the baby is growing causing me to grow and stretch. I have had cramping pains since the very start of this pregnancy. It was a lot at first, which I talked about me thinking I was going to start my period, but it was just my uterus stretching. I have started to recognize how the pain feels different so I am not freaking out at every time I feel it. I had a bunch of it last night on my left side and it was really hard to fall asleep.
I also have been having a hard time breathing in the mornings. I have what they Pregnancy Rhinitis. I didn't realize this is what it was at first, but after experiencing it for almost two months now, and doing some research, I realized it is a pregnancy symptom. Trevor says I have been snoring every night, which I normally don't do, and the poor guy has been having trouble getting to sleep because of it, oops!
Craving: Same old same old, I have stopped with the pb and j's for awhile now, but the cereal is still holding strong.
Feeling: A lot better every day! I am definitely getting my energy back, and I am starting to look more pregnant and less chubby. I read last night that week 16 is when the baby can start hearing you, and I got really excited about that. Knowing that the baby will be able to hear us, and that I could feel it move in the next few weeks has got me pretty excited! Is it weird that I am a little scared to feel the baby at first? I mean, I just can't imagine what it feels like to have something move INSIDE of your body like that! It really is such a crazy cool experience being pregnant, and I can't wait for the really fun parts to start happening.
Random: Since day one of this pregnancy my symptoms have been so on point. My doctor said most women get sick at 7 weeks and day two of my 7th week was my crazy brutal morning sickness day. Then last week on Friday I woke up with a bloody nose. I thought it was so random, but lo and behold when I checked my pregnancy app the next day for my new week of pregnancy the first symptom listed for week 15 was bloody noses. Crazy! haha
You are so cute and I love your blog! This is such a fun time in life! Hearing your stories make me miss the excitement of those sweet days...it seems weird to imagine someone moving inside of you but it feels totally natural once it starts happening. I felt our first at 16 weeks. I was laying in bed one morning and knew it was him because it was 3 little rhythmic thumps. So cool! I'm sure you know about body pillows but when I had a hard time sleeping, I slept on my side with a pillow between my legs and when I started getting a bigger belly, I put one between the mattress and my belly to kind of prop it up. It helps with those cramps and the pull of gravity on whichever side you aren't sleeping on. Does that make sense? Anyway, hope it helps! Congrats again
ReplyDeleteThank Adrienne! I can't believe you felt it so early.... I hope I do too! Hearing that it feels natural is a little more comforting, I keep feeling like it will scare me, which is a dumb thought I know. You know, I have heard about the body pillows, but I need to still get one! Recommendations?
DeleteI just have a plain ole' body pillow...I know they make ones for pregnancy though!
DeleteLooking good for being 15 weeks pregnant. I remember being pregnant. I had hard pregnancies though, so i hope you have an easy one. Lol
ReplyDeleteOh thanks Jasmine, thank makes me feel good! haha I pop out so much more later in the day after breakfast, lunch, and snacks! haha
DeleteI love following along on your updates, especially since I'm just less than a week behind you! I totally feel you when it comes to clothes not fitting and trying on three different outfits before finally deciding on one! It's so tough at this sort of awkward stage! You look great though girl!
ReplyDeleteLibby I am so excited for you! How fun we are so close. I can't wait to follow along your journey as well :) And how you told your family was adorable!
DeleteYou look so great!! Love following along with you :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Kerri!
DeleteI loved being pregnant!!! my favorite weeks in the beginning were 16-18. I got a great profile ultrasound pic of my baby at 16 weeks (and found out he was a boy!) and I felt just great at 17 and 18 weeks. I didnt start feeling him move until 22 weeks which i thought was just mean!! haha it feels like you have gas bubbles at first (everyone told me butterflies but I found that to be false!). When it gets weird is when they kick hard enough that your tummy dances around and everyone can see it! haha that was around 23 weeks I think. My husband thought it was awesome.
ReplyDeleteSee and that is the kind of thing that will freak me out man! haha The total kicking and jabbing! Just the first time. Once I know what it feels like I will probably feel much better but until then I am nervous! haha
DeleteYou look great, and just wait, feeling the babe move is the absolute best!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is what they say! I think it will def maybe worry a little less about the baby all the time, knowing if its moving and all is good in there!
DeleteI can't believe you haven't bought any maternity clothes at 15 weeks! I'm 12 weeks & I already bought maternity pants! Target has some dang cute ones (obviously) & calvin Klein bras are my new favorite obsession! Its so fun reading all your posts! I can't wait til we announce it so I can start posting and stop hiding my belly haha!
ReplyDeleteI know right?! I keep hearing that. I have some on the way in the mail so I am looking forward to that! haha I will have to check out the calvin klein bras! Finally telling everyone is the best so I look forward to your announcement! :)
DeleteHope hope you feel better. I went to Sears today and they have a lot of cute maternity clothes for good price. you look so pretty in all your pictures you look like you're glowing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up Nicole! :) &Thank you, I am starting to feel better so it is nice to hear people think I don't look like I am dying haha
Deleteaww never you look great lol
DeleteI had the pregnancy stuffiness too! Never had a nose bleed, but I did snore which I usually only do if I'm sick. :/ It's definitely not all glamorous!! But of course it's all so very worth it! :)
ReplyDeleteThat's what they say! Can't wait :)
DeleteI've never snored or had bloody noses but I did when I was pregnant! Haha a humidifier helps. The first times you feel baby move are amazing! I really had to pay attention and connect at first. They literally felt like butterfly wings or bubbles popping. Miss that!!
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteI was the same way with my first baby! I was a AA bra when my husband and I got married and then I got pregnant and jumped to a C in like three months. Stretch marks galore to say the least! I've had two babies now though and they have definitely faded a ton!
ReplyDeleteYup! I figured that this would happen since I am so flat chested haha
DeleteBEAUTIFUL! Congrats mama!
ReplyDelete9 months seems like a long time and by the end of it, it feels like a long time and it is amazing how fast the baby grows though, my daughter didn't buy any maternity clothes she just wore normal clothes a size bigger
ReplyDeleteFeeling the baby is the best! A little creepy to look at, but so fun at the same time. I was so excited that I took a video and sent it to my husband. Sometimes it tickles, although towards the end it can start to hurt. I remember telling my little boy to stop moving because I just wanted to relax. haha
ReplyDeleteIt's so much fun reading about your pregnancy, keep the posts coming, when you have energy of course. :)
Thanks Allison! And yes, it can look creepy. My sister once sent me a video that scared the crud out of me. Totally alien invasion style haha
DeleteYay!!! Finally a picture where I can see your baby bump!!! :)
ReplyDeleteYup! haha
DeleteCongrats!!!!
ReplyDeleteXoXo One Stiletto At A Time
congratulation :) i love your look!

It's pretty hard at first to distinguish between what's baby and what's indigestion, but my sister gave me a good rule of thumb---if it's below the belly button, it's baby (at the stage you're at, anyway). If it's above, it's your digestive system. So you probably won't feel too freaked out at first because you'll be questioning half the time what's what, lol.
ReplyDeleteBut I'm currently 34 weeks along, and I can tell you this---I love feeling the baby move. It's a type of bonding I didn't anticipate, and it is actually very comforting to know that she's with me all the time, if that makes sense. Plus it's just fun to play around with her and have her kick me back. You will love feeling your baby move--just wait :)
I hear it is amazing! and I love that rule of thumb. I will be paying attention these next few weeks :)
DeleteYAY I'm so happy for you!!!!!! You look gorgeous!
