BAG: C/O NENA&CO

I recently instagrammed this beautiful bag from Nena & Co. and received a lot of questions regarding it. Isn't it stunning? I took it as my carry on travel bag to Nashville and I can't tell you how many times I got stopped about it. So many compliments! How could I not? It is a stunner, and a total statement piece.

Ali reached out to me about this beautiful bag and the goals of their company Nena & Co. Ali designs and manufactures vintage Guatemalan fabric and employs indigenous women to hand weave new fabric that they use for products like this which take about 8 hours to complete 1 single yard! Her family is from Guatemala, and is a big advocate of working with local people and giving them sustainable jobs!

Nena & Co. are dedicating October to a special cause that they are involved in that helps support and educate women on how to birth babies. They will help supply birthing kits to women in remote villages in Guatemala that do not have access to a doctor while they are expecting. The goal is to help lower infant mortality rates. Beautiful bags and helping women and babies? I mean... what an amazing cause! These pieces are truly one of a kind, as is the company. All purchases during the month of October will go towards this beautiful goal and cause.

  4. Hey Alycia! I read through most of your blog and I love how you are still such a genuine person after all these years blogging, unlike other bloggers who somehow lost they authenticy. I understand it can be difficult to put yourself out there. I just reread your post about wanting it all, and I just want to encourage you to keep rolling. It would be a shame to put all your energy and creativeness in "just" having kids ;) Youre beautiful ! Bye!
