a snowy getaway...

A few weekends back, Trevor and I met up with his family to go snowboarding and skiing for the weekend. Trevor's family has made a tradition of us meeting up in Brian Head for a ski/snowboard weekend. I absolutely love staying up in the beautiful mountains and this trip did not disappoint! The cabin was gorgeous, and there was fresh powder on the slopes... what more could you ask for?

I am still deciding which one I like better, snowboarding or skiing, I just can't decide!! I am torn and think both are great! Oh well, maybe I will just keep switching it up back and forth? haha

Don't mind me, I look like a bandit in all of these pictures because it was so windy and cold I didn't want a repeat of last year when I got major windburn! haha Oh and the fact that it was snowing pretty hard core at times :) SO. MUCH. FUN.

It was a lot of fun getting two whole days with Trevor, with our schedules that kind of time is rare :) and we loved every second of it!

I wasn't lying about the snow! At one point it was a total white out up on the ski lift and even going down the mountain! haha
Lots of baby Mia time in the Cabin :)
We ended most nights playing cards :)

I wish I had got more pictures of everything, but it was a pretty chilly weekend! Probably some of the best snow I have ever been able to ski/snowboard on though!!! Loved it!

  1. Looks like such a fun weekend! We just had a major snow storm here yesterday! Gotta love snowy climates :) At least when it snows this much, it makes cold weather seem more fun. More fun to ski, snowboard, and even curl up inside around the fire. It's all a bit more fun when there are piles of snow outside!

  6. How fun! I've always heard great things about Brian Head. I was just in Big Sky MT and it was the best snow I've ever had. Fresh powder every day!!

  7. I haven't gone to the snow in such a long time. I'm not a fan of skiing or snowboarding (re: injury prone) but I am a fan of cabins and games. Fun!

  8. That cabin looks gorgeous! My boyfriend and I rented a cabin this weekend for some boarding. But we didn't get the pretty snow you did. It was really warm and we ended up having to take our jackets off. I'm from Michigan so it felt really weird to be boarding without a jacket on!
