Lunch with some blogging ladies :) Mucho Bueno!

This weekend went by too fast, like they usually do. We went to one of Trevor's favorite band's concert shows, in which I brought my trustee and favorite ear plugs :) haha I met up with some blogger friends and had lunch, always fun to meet fellow blog ladies in real life!
Trevor doesn't like when I wear make up really. He likes the "Al Natural" look. So when I actually put on a full face of make up he usually doesn't like it. What is a girl to do?! haha I sported some raspberry lipstick during the week and he noted he wasn't a big fan, but what do guys know anyway?
How much do we get dressed for our husbands, and how much do we get dressed for ourselves? I say it is all about a balance. I tend to not wear that much make up anyways, so it works out for us :) There are times where I specifically want to look good for my husband, and other times where I want to look good the way I feel great. At the end of the day, Trevor thinks I am beautiful no matter what, so it doesn't really matter!

My fiancé prefers me wearing no make-up at all, he says I look the prettiest when I'm not covering my natural beauty with a layer of "smudge" (am I that with my make-up then???) but his pet peeve are high heeled shoes. He just doesn't understand why I would destroy my feet in such insensible footwear.. (for all that he's a lot taller than I am!)
ReplyDeleteI usually wear stuff for myself, but my fiancé has given me the confidence to go out without any make-up and plain clothes, so I have to thank him for that :)
Oh man, now I need to ind some cream soda! It's been years for me too! Love your pretty gingham shirts :)
ReplyDeleteMy husband is similar on the makeup. He doesn't mind when I wear it, he just wants me to look super natural.I wore red lipstick one night and it totally freaked him out :)

I run into the same dilemma sometimes with my hubs, but I think we have a good balance going. Sometimes full makeup, sometimes a bit, sometimes no. And occasionally, I let him make outfit suggestions even (gasp!).
They think we're beautiful no matter what, so it's all good, right? :)

That's too funny. My husband is the exact same way... I think maybe it's a guy thing... But I'm with ya on the half and half thing... I wore red lipstick Friday and I got "but whhhyyy??" hahaha still have to enjoy being a girl :) Loving the instagram- one of my favorite apps! Keep in touch!

ReplyDeletei do know how you feel though. i feel like a slob on the weekends when i go without makeup to give my skin a break, but chris loves it for some reason. i'm just glad he's clueless when it comes to fashion so he doesn't even bother chiming in there, haha.

Looks like you had a good weekend. You're right, they always go by too fast! Ugh.. My hubbs prefers no makeup also, but I feel naked without it. Especially mascara.. Blonde eyelashes. Haha ps.. I live about five minutes away from that zupas :)
