The cake the night before...
The cake the morning after.
Trevor wanted to keep things low key for his birthday... what am I talking about... low key is all we do these days, because we are always so tired and busy?! haha Trevor told himself that he wasn't going to study at all on his birthday, but when I came home I found him doing homework, tsk. tsk. We did the usual pizza and a movie yadda yadda yadda, and we stretched the birthday throughout the entire weekend stuffing out faces with food we shouldn't have. We did that with mine too, how did we both get so lucky to have our birthday's on a Friday this year?! Love it.
Trevor is a huge fan of Reese's so I decided to make him a replica large cake version of one. A couple years ago I made him a burger cake, why am I so into making replicas of other foods into cakes? If I can say so myself, it was pretty incredible! This this is so rich and Trevor isn't sure how he is going to eat it all. Normally he could eat a cake all by himself, but this one he could barley get started into, it is just SO rich! He might be taking some to his Law School friends to have, haha.
I adapted the recipe (it was originally meant to make small little ones) so I learned some things if I ever make it again that I will do differently, but it still came out great! I didn't get a great a shot of it before (bad lighting) But you can see what it looked like the next morning after Trevor dug into it! haha

But he did say, and I quote "Wow Alycia, this is the best cake I have ever had!"
Did you hear read that? Best cake he has ever had. Point for me :)
