+What is up with me having awesome breakfasts lately? As I have mentioned on the blog before, I have been an active member of the Law Partners group at BYU this past year. This year is coming to an end, and I am going to be on the board next year! We all met up to learn about our responsibilities etc.... oh and to eat amazing crepes. There is ice cream inside that crepe people.... ice cream.
+Speaking of breakfast, isn't it funny how things change as we get older? During the week when I was younger my mother MADE us eat oatmeal for breakfast. I am talking Monday through Friday. We only got the "good" cereal on Saturdays. I absolutely despised it. Hated it with a passion. I would try and put as much brown sugar (as my mom would let me) in it to make it editable. Now as an adult, I love oatmeal :) I eat for breakfast almost every morning! Funny how things change isn't it?
+I am a list maker. I just like to write all kinds of to do lists, or little notes (hey I write little notes on my blog too! haha) to myself. Because of this you will find multiple loose papers all over my apartment, car, office, purse, you name it, there is probably an old, current and future list lying around (thanks mom for this habit!) While writing lists helps me stay organized, I decided I needed a better way to keep them all together (I tend to loose them because they are all loose) So I got this adorable little book to be used solely for my lists :) It is so pretty I have mixed feelings of wanting to use and then feeling guilty for writing on the pretty patterned paper! haha. Anyone else a list maker? Then you understand the immense satisfaction you get from crossing something

ReplyDeleteI love making lists! I have a notebook in my purse and a list on the fridge (I guess the one on my phone counts too haha).
ReplyDeletenow I am hungry thanks!!
ReplyDeleteWe are twins haha crepes are my fave! And oatmeal.. When I was a kid, even the smell of it made me want to vomit but I love it now!! Basically my entire purse is filled with old and new to-do lists. I've even got them on my notepad app on my phone.. But there's something about writing them down and crossing them off that brings so much satisfaction :)
ReplyDeletehaha I agree with the oatmeal.
ReplyDeleteMy parents always put raisins in my oatmeal when i was little... now I love it... haha
2 things: 1) crepes = deliciousness & 2) I'm a weirdo list maker...i put stuff on there just to cross it off...makes me feel better. Can you say nerd alert? Ha!
ReplyDeleteThat is definitely my kind of crepe! I still can't do the oatmeal though...
ReplyDeleteCongrats on being on the board of the Law Partners group!
that crepe looks delish :)
ReplyDeleteI couldn't stand asparagus as a kid. Just looking at it make me want to vomit. Now I LOVE it.
ReplyDeleteThose crepes look soooo good! :] Also, I totally hated oatmeal growing up too and I eat it all the time now! It really is funny how those things change! And that notebook/journal is beautiful! I love writing lists too so I'm always on the lookout for cute little books like that!
ReplyDeleteOMG. Ice cream? WOW, you just blew my mind.
ReplyDeleteyes, I'm a list maker. It's makes me soosososososso happy to cross things off my list. I make myself a new todo list every morning when I get into the office so I can start my day with a nice crisp piece of paper and then scribble all over it. hehehe :)
umm I feel (as I often do when reading your posts) that we would be very good friends. Or maybe we would be so alike that we wouldn't get along? I don't know, but what I do know is that I also hated oatmeal as a child and now cannot get enough of it, also I love crepes, and I am a chronic list-maker. and it's almost the weekend! have a good one!
ReplyDeleteoh gosh, i'm a big lists persons too. i really need to get myself a little journal to keep by my bed at all times because that's when all my thoughts seem to come.

ReplyDeleteand i am SUCH a list maker. Whether it is on physical paper or my list app on my iphone.
p.s. what event is it? wish i was there.. :)
I am a HUGE list maker. I make at least 5 lists a day...one work to-do list, one etsy shop to-do list, one home to-do list...haha. I love crossing things off! You are not alone girlfriend. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! I must eat a crepe. RIGHT NOW!
ReplyDeleteIt is funny how your tastes change. I hated pretty much everything except grilled cheese and french fries. Now I love almost every fruit and veggie out there.
That crepe looks delicious!

ReplyDeleteHey there Alycia, I found you :). I was in Law Partners as well. So you must know Tausha Bentz. She's a fantabulous friend of mine.
ReplyDeleteLovely blog, look forward to peeking into your life now and then.
My breakfasts pale in comparison to yours.
ReplyDeleteBreakfast is the best! I am totally a post-it note girl, and I have them everywhere... but never where I really need them. I get the same way about pretty paper though... I get so scared I'll have to cross out a mistake, and the paper won't be cute anymore!
ReplyDeletemy oatmeal-filled childhood sounds very similar:-) also, grape nuts, PLAIN cheerios, wheaties, etc... It was like Christmas day when we could eat the sugary stuff! xoxo
ReplyDeleteoh my word. that crepe. I hope it was as DELICIOUS as it looks in the picture!
ReplyDeleteI am a fellow list maker. (I love your list book, it's super cute.) The feeling of crossing through something on my list, makes my day!
Also, I tagged you in my post today! It's a fun little Q&A thing. I hope you do it:)
I make lists like they are going out of style! And that book is so cute!!
ReplyDeleteYou have been having awesome breakfasts lately...those crepes look delish! You are so right about tastes chaining, I used to not like breakfast food, but now I actually enjoy it and look forward to a lovely breakfast with friends! :)
ReplyDeletemy kids love oatmeal wit milk and brown sugar.
ReplyDeletedo you write stuff on your lists just so you can cross it off?!
happy weekend!
I am the SAME way with lists!!
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed by your blog. Thanks for the sweet comment, hon :) Following you back!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty journal! I'm guilty not of leaving little pieces of paper everywhere, but of buying every cute notepad or sticky note I see and then writing exactly one thing in each of them! Haha.
ReplyDeletecrepes + icecream...i just drooled on my keyboard.
