Me Party.

You read that right. Me Party... not Crowley Party. I guess I have been calling and having too many pity parties on the phone with my parents. See Trevor has been studying non-stop since oh...October! I have mentioned before how I now understand why they call Law Spouses, Widows.
With that said... please enjoy the email and video my father sent me.
(Oh & Belle is my nickname, for those of you confused by that, haha)

Hey Belle;

We went to the Muppet Movie today and they sang a song that reminded mom and I of you. Since you're a law school widow we figured this could be your song.

Love you;
Dad

&While I did laugh because my parents thought of me when they heard this song... this is probably the worst Muppet's song ever.... agreed? haha

  2. hahaha this is too funny!... and I know how you feel, my bf just finished his phd in December, but prior to that I had been a post-grad widow for 4 long years since I also suffered through his masters :/

    But I must say, once it's over - life is pure bliss! Totally worth the wait :)

  6. I was a law widow for three long years (3-and-a-half really when you take into account the months he studied for the bar). Is your husband a 2L? One day it will all be worth it, I promise! Brandon has been practicing since January and it's been so nice to have my husband back! And the making money part is nice too ;-)

  7. haha I can totally relate! As I read this Brian was sitting behind me practically pulling his hair out over this paper he's writing. Luckily he studies at home, so we're still together most of the time, but it's still a lot. And yeah, that song is pretty lame, especially without watching Amy Adams being ridiculous... it was definitely my least favorite song from the movie.

  9. Alycia, this made me laugh! I have a handful of emails from parents similar to this one. My husband is in grad school -- not law school, but still time-consuming! Hang in there :)

  11. I feel for you! My husband isn't a law student but he works a lot, and sometimes I just want him to call in sick and spend the whole day with him! I guess that just shows how much we love our hubbys though!

  12. ah you can always rely on the parents to be honest! My mom would totally do something like that or just tell me to suck it up!

  15. I'm a hunting widow! At least you'll be a widow with some money at some point. Unless KB kills bigfoot I'm pretty much not getting anything out of my widow deal.
