I never could seem to find the time to read anything while going to school full time and working. So I have been enjoying a summer full of reading, the first in a long time :) I just finished One Day, which I liked a lot, and now I am almost done reading The Help. I have one more day to finish it since my mom is in town and she wants to see the movie with me. So I have been feverishly trying to finish it in between job applications the last couple days. Loving the relaxing time.
Did you notice the adorable ring I am wearing? I love it. Especially how the turquoise pops against the black. I wore it to church the other day and got many compliments! It is one of the Priscilla rings that Ashley has in her shop called La Luce Designs So head on over to her great etsy shop for even more cute accessories!
I'm reading it too! It's one of those consuming-my-life-because-i-can't-put-it-down books. I can't wait to see the movie!
ReplyDeletelove your nail polish, too! another good way to get some reading done is a good old hurricane, too ;)
ReplyDeleteJust got done reading it and I loved it. Cute ring.

ReplyDeleteThat nail polish! I've been looking for new sparkles. So fabulous.
ReplyDeleteI want to read The Help. Maybe next week. Right now I finished Forbidden and cried like a lil sissy. ):
ReplyDeleteI love that ring. one of my favorite colors (:
I'm going to give The Help a second chance; there was just too much use of GD for me to really get into it. so sad because I was looking forward to reading the book then watching the movie. :(

ReplyDeletei want to read the help before i see the movie but i'm not sure it's going to happen. I don't have it, and I hate reading.... haha! That ring is adorable!
ReplyDeleteI just picked up the Help and planning on reading it over the long holiday weekend- it looks so good!
ReplyDeletelove your glitter nail polish.
Turquoise and black is such a killer combo. Beautiful stuff! :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful ring. I'm also wanting to read The Help, but have so many books going already on top of school work. I hope you enjoy it and seeing the movie. It's always interesting to compare the two.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful ring!!!
ReplyDeleteI loved The Help and the movie does a GREAT job justifying the book. The characters are spot on! I want to read One Day as well. Its on my ever growing to be read list! Love the ring too!
ReplyDeleteI'm reading The Help! Well, actually I'm listening to it because I got two free audible books off of audible.com. I love it so far but haven't been finding time to read it. I want to see the movie though so I'd better hurry it up!
ReplyDeleteLOVE La Luce! :) SUCH a cute ring. And I am LOVING your crackle polish :)
ReplyDeleteI love the polish... and that lovely ring!
ReplyDeleteSO want to read both those books - and see the movies too of course. As for your sweet comment over at my blog...we can be TV watching buddies ANYTIME - I would be STOKED!!
ReplyDeleteLove the ring and your nails!
ReplyDeleteI was going to comment on the ring! beautiful! And I just saw the help this past weekend and LOVED it! my most recent post was on how awesome the clothing was!
ReplyDeleteThat ring is so cute! I'm going to have to go take a look.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I have a similar mug! Target, right? All of my favorite mugs are from target. :)
I'm glad you've been able to catch up on some reading. I was an English major and was constantly reading required books. Now that I'm done it's so nice being able to read what I want and when!
The Help was so great. Dying to see the movie! That ring is super cute, too- love it!
ReplyDeleteLOVE that ring, looking now!
ReplyDeleteI loved the Help! The book is better than the movie but they always are :) I always have to read the books before I see the movie so I finished Hunger Games since the movie is coming out in March. If you haven't read it yet I would recommend it!
ReplyDeleteHow come your specked nails look absolutely fabulous and when I think of doing them I feel like I would feel like I'm just trying to pull off cracked polish?
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet, delicate ring. Love the color aqua! It's the color of my kitchen... and those nails, like that sparkle.
ReplyDeleteThis ring is really cool. I love the colours:)
ReplyDeleteone of the worst parts about school is just that: not being able to find time for reading anything but text books. sometimes i choose leisure reading over school work. i finished re-reading harry potter number six last night. soooo worth putting off my homework.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to study litterature because I LOVE to read... Well guess what, this whole study thing leaves NO time to read for fun! So I'm also very happy to read when I have a couple of months off of school ;)
ReplyDelete(Here in Belgium our summer holiday starts at the beginning of July and it ends around the end of September - if you don't have to re-do any exams! --> This means almost 3 months of vacation, yeah!!)
such a cute ring! great addition
ReplyDeleteone day and the help were my favorite summer reads! and the movie for the help was oh so perfect!
