......

I hope you all had a great Halloween!
Unfortunately, my Halloween wasn't exactly what I expected it to be.
I had been telling my mother a couple weeks ago how I didn't know what I wanted to be for Halloween. Then I threw out the idea that I wanted to be an Indian (I was feeling very UTE prideful that day)
A couple days later I am talking to her on the phone and ask her what she is up to. She tells me she is making my Indian costume. I was doing this ":0" WHAT?!
This is one of the amazing qualities of my mother. She always goes out of her way to do special things for people, esp her children. How sweet of her.
So now that I had a costume on its way, I wanted to wear it to something fun for Halloween!
Trevor and I had made plans to go to a Halloween Party.
That Halloween Party was canceled.
Then we planned to hang out with some other friends.
That was canceled.
Then we made plans with some other friends.
That was canceled.
After already having a pretty horrible morning, we had no plans :( &I had nowhere to wear my costume. I was pretty bummed out.
I mean technically I had worn the costume to our work Halloween party, but I was serving at the party and working the whole thing. So I totally felt ripped off on my amazing costume my mom had made me. It really did turn out great.
Finally Trevor decided he was sick of us sulking around the house with nothing to do for Halloween. So we called some other friends (4th attempt to go out) and invited ourselves over.

We rented an 80's horror movie (Children of the Corn) and headed over.
Trevor kept trying to get me to wear my Indian costume (because he knew how badly I wanted to wear it out) But I knew no one else was going to be in costume, and I just didn't want to waste it.
So next year I will wear it somewhere. Maybe I will just have to throw my OWN Halloween party.
Anyways, at least the night ended on a happy note. We had a fun night watching the UTES win!
Stuffed our faces with candy, and got a little freaked out by an old classic.
I can't wait for when we have kids someday and Halloween will be that much more special and exciting. At least I will have the children to celebrate the Holiday with :) haha

Last year we had a pretty exciting Halloween, and even made a video of it... haha check it:

  6. Hopefully next year you will be in a bigger apartment and can throw your own party if there is no where to go. This video made me smile this morning. It reminds of those youtube video's of people in Europe who just start dancing in train stations - maybe they've done it here. Have you seen those? Love them! I think it's great to spread some love, fun & smiles around :)

  28. I wish you could have joined us!
We hosted a Murder Mystery Dinner at our home on Halloween (1930s Chicago style! It was a blast!) and one of our couples (you have to have 8 people to do it) wasn't able to come. My husband and I ended up each playing two parts, and it left us all very confused. I would have been very happy to pass off some parts to a couple of Indians!
