BABY BOY SHOWER + 32 WEEK PREGNANCY UPDATE ❤

Sorry for the lack of posts on the blog these days! I swear I have been starting every post with an apology lately. I have been very active on social media just not so much on this blog anymore. But I had to check in and share some pictures from the adorable baby shower some of my friends put together for me. It was such a sweet gesture, something I wasn’t expecting at all, and I was really touched by the whole thing. I didn't think second baby showers were a thing but I am actually really happy about because I have felt like this baby hasn’t had nearly as much attention or “celebration” as Ella had. We have just been so busy over here, too busy honestly, we are functioning at a rate that isn’t sustainable. At least not sustainable for good health! Haha It was just nice to take a minute and focus on him.

I did do a little vlog on the shower as well as an update on the baby if you want to watch that below. Vlogging has kind of taken over what blogging used to be for me. Video medium is something I really enjoy and I love having those memories saved in that way. Anyways, back to the shower, my friends out did themselves. They are the dynamic duo behind The Confetti Creative and they are the ones who helped me with Ella’s First Birthday. I say helped when really I just gave them the theme and they did everything else! Haha They have so much talent and if you are local you should really utilize them! They are the best of the best. I am kicking myself that I forgot to get a cute picture with them at the shower :( BAH.  Oh well, they took some gorgeous shots of the set up before the party started so I wanted to share those!

Utah Baby Shower

Wasn't able to catch everyone who came in one picture (sorry if I missed you) but I am happy I got a good chunk of these amazing friends of mine in one shot! So many beautiful women inside and out that I feel so blessed to know and have the privilege of calling friends. Thank you for all the love and for being apart of my life!

I feel like one lucky girl to have made so many good friends since moving to Utah. When I moved here, I didn't know a soul. Fast forward almost eight years and I have had the opportunity to meet so many amazing people! I had some sweet friends offer to throw me a baby shower and the day was perfection... a tad HOT, but great none the less! At least it didn't thunderstorm like previously predicted because we spent most of the shower outside, haha.

I of course like a classic pregnant woman, forgot to bring my camera, but thankfully everyone has a camera on their phones these days so I was able to capture some of it! It was just a great afternoon seeing people from all my different walks of life. We ate outside and just chatted away. I loved that everyone was just enjoying socializing with each other! That morning I was feeling particularly swollen and so I had my compression socks on and some slippers. I wore them over to the party which was hosted at a dear family friends house. I had every intention of taking them off once the party started, but yeah... that didn't end up happening! haha A few shout outs are in order here, first of all, my sweet mom came up for this shower because she has so many friends here that were attending and she didn't want to miss out on the fun! haha Also, my bestie Jamie drove all the way up with her mom from St. George just for my shower! Literally, she drove up Saturday morning and back after the shower, haha, crazy girl. I freakin' love her to death! And then obviously to the ladies who worked hard to put this shin dig together, Sasha, Autumn, Tearsa, Molly and my Mom. YOU ALL ROCK! Actually all my friends rock, thanks for being apart of my life and for wanting to celebrate my little girl. It means the world to me! Thank you!

Everyone wrote down wishes for the baby and clipped them to the string of lights!

I had every intention of taking off my compression socks and slippers once the party started, and like I mentioned above...uh, that didn't happen! HAHA. #pregnancyproblems

Love the fact that Sasha had on these cute little cat flats and I am wearing my piggy slippers! haha

This butter cream cake that Autumn made was out of this world scrumptious! As evidenced by the photo of me and Jamie. Of course this would be one of the only photos of us from the shower! haha

Some of these pictures came out a bit blurry (phone quality, sorry!) But I had to share the ones I got with some of these amazing people I love. I am talking EFY 2006, friends from high school, friends from college, friends and co-workers from past jobs, friends from blogging… I LOVE YOU ALL!

San Diego Baby Shower

I love how this shot captures the emotions of the day on my face so perfectly! I am so lucky to have grown up with such amazing people in my life that truly feel like family! My heart is full. Thanks to everyone who showered my little girl with such amazing love!

As you saw in my last post, I just got back from San Diego! Oh San Diego, my heart! I am so happy I was able to make it back home for a baby shower. I still have so many friends and people who are honestly like family to me down there. I was excited that they wanted to host a shower for me! There is just something about being home in San Diego that just calms my heart. I love it.

The ladies really went above and beyond and put together such an adorable shower. There were so many details! I will just let the pictures do the talking but the whole thing was just so dang cute. I couldn't get over the beautifully made paper flowers, and the perfectly matched to the invitation icing on the mini donuts. Those mini donuts by the way were uh-mazing! Ashley did such a phenomenal job on them, which is no surprise since she does have a knack for party planning. Everything was amazing, thank you so much for everyone who helped put it together (Rebecca, Ashley, Cari, Mom) You Rock!

They got the invites and some matching shower décor from a great Etsy shop called Paiges of Style! She sells printable parties, which I think is just brilliant and such an easy way to incorporate a theme. They used this theme!

Such a scrumptious and adorable spread! :)
