gluteus maximus...

So remember how I said I was going to try to not put on holiday weight?!
I was doing SO good, and had even lost a couple pounds.
Then Halloween happened and there is candy everywhere, and I am getting lazy.
So I was looking up some things online and came across
Gwyneth Paltrow's routine she used to get in shape for Iorn Man 2.
She actually posted a short video of her trainer and and some simple things you can do
to work out your butt and thighs. TRUST ME, they will be burning!
Thought I would share the wealth incase anyone else is trying to stay in shape
during the hardest months of the year to not gain!

  10. ugh i SO know how you feel!

i have been trying desperately to lose what i like to call my honeymoon weight for the past 5 months. i've only lost three lbs, but after this Halloween weekend, i fear i may have gained :(

we'll see on saturday when i weigh in at WW.

thank you for the inspiration with the video and for reminding me that i'm not the only one trying to lose weight during the most diet-sabotaging season of the year!

good luck on getting back on track!

  15. oh my gosh, i know exactly what you mean! the whole first part of this year i was working out everyday and i got skinny and strong. i felt awesome! then my wedding happened and my routine was throw out the window. it's been so hard to get back into exercising!! and i'm noticing my body changing back to the unhealthy/doughy way it was last year. boo! i really need to do something about it before thanksgiving day arrives. thanks for sharing this - it looks awesome!

  16. i have gotten a bit out of my gym routine lately. i got a new job and just getting in the thick of things has been stressful (so i SHOULD be going more) i haven't gained weight but i can tell i lost some tone and i lost a lil energy. i struggle there. but i do go to the gym, i am not good at all at working out at home- i feel motivated in a gym environment. maybe we can all try to motivate each other!

  17. Hi! I got your nice comment on my blog - thanks! :) I feel sort of stupid asking this, but what is your maiden name? I'm assuming we have a Canada connection? If we are long lost Canadian cousins or something I will feel silly for not knowing that. :)

  31. Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog. So happy to have found your blog here. I already love it. Also, thanks for sharing the workout. I feel like I haven't stopped eating candy for the past two weeks. I'm feeling a bit squishy right now and needed some motivation to exercise.

  32. Ohhhh Tracy Anderson, how I love thee. Did I say love? I meant loathe.

You make my butt burn like it's on fire. & as if that's not enough, a day after doing your butt workouts, my ass feels like it's been in a car accident. Thanks to you. Yes, you, Tracy. What with your "attitude" positions, & your, "Just 20 more" mantra, I can't walk for days after spending 4 and a half minutes on the mat with you.

You make it look so easy-- killing your butt. What with your perky little self that weighs all of 80 lbs, & your perfect blonde hair that never seems to make you hot even though you didn't put it up before you started your butt regime from hell. You smile at the most inopportune times, like when I'm dying because I cannot do one more of the 20 more you said I had left.

Ohh, Tracy. I loathe you but I love you for what your exercises do to my caboose.

    Signed,

    Heidi, High & Tight.
