the awful waffle...

Last week I was invited to meet up with a great group of bloggers and ladies to have dinner at the Awful Waffle. The Awful Waffle was actually one of the first places I ate at when I moved to Provo. They started off as a little hole in the wall, and grew so fast that they just moved to a new location that is huge, and might I add beautiful! I loved all the decor elements they had in there. Oh and no worries, the food is still just as amazing.

Speaking of the food, they added pizza to their menu along with the fries, waffles and crepes. Everything was great and I ate way too much! As much as I love waffles, I honestly can't get enough of their crepes and the cream cheese sauce they have. I also love the variety in dipping sauces they have for their fries! There were also adorable cupcakes provided from Cupcake Chic, as well as some treats and decor from Snickerplum. Thank you all for providing us with such a great night!

 I absoulty loved their copper plated pizza oven... just gorgeous!

Also, how adorable are the table numbers?

 The get together was a hit with great conversation, amazing desserts, and new friends!

P.S. Any fellow Canadians out there? I hope you are having a pie today! Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!

tomorrow...

The running chart I made and have been following the past couple months! can't believe tomorrow it will be complete!

 

I am trying not to freak out. I am rushing with excitement, and fear all at the same time. I am just so dang anxious. Tomorrow, along with a huge group of family and friends, I will be running 26.2 miles. 

I am ready to cross this experience off my bucket list. All the months of preparation to accomplish this goal. Running a marathon is only partially about the physical endurance, there comes a point where your body is well conditioned, and it becomes a mental game. Mental conditioning.

I have done a half marathon before this, and crossing the finish line I didn't expect to feel what I did. It is actually a very emotional and almost spiritual experience. I know that sounds crazy, but if you ever done something like this, you know what I am talking about. Pushing yourself, and gaining control of your mind, it is the best feeling of self accomplishment.

I have never felt more in control of my thoughts and it has been such a growing experience I never expected to have doing this. I know I can do it, but I am so scared. It doesn't help that I did something to my knee last week, I am trying to not let it worry me too much and just focus on finishing and not about a time. I don't want my knee problem to get me down about the race. Here is to a grand day of accomplishment (&sore legs) for many people tomorrow :) Wish us luck!

Remember when I posted about the Fashion's Night Out at Fashion Place Mall? Well Fashion Place Mall is celebrating their 40^th Anniversary and are offering a bunch of different bloggers the opportunity to take three different readers (&their friends) to go shopping and have lunch.
