Family Dinner the night before the Wedding...

The night before the wedding we had the opportunity to have all our family and friends here for the wedding at a big dinner. It was so much fun! We had a lot of family and friends travel to come see us from parts of California, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and Canada! We got good ol Pat and Oscars and all just sat together and ate, shared stories etc. My Nana pulled one on my and did a "Panty Line" presentation for me. I was verrrrry red, but it was so hilarious. The poem went along with the different stages in your life and what under wear you wear during those stages. It was great :) It was just a fun night surrounded with all the people you care about, it was perfect.

Bachelorette Party!

I have the best friends in the whole world. Jamie Havertz and Sarah Borgehi two of my good friends threw me a Bachelortte party. We got a small group together of my closest friends and all headed downtown to Dick's Last Resort. It is this restaurant in downtown San Diego where the waiters and everyone purposely treat you bad. It is pretty funny, they make fun of you, they throw things at you like your straws and napkins, it really is a fun experience. So during dinner Jamie pulls out these Bachelorette challenges. They were all different random things we all took turns doing, mainly me though haha. The hardest part is getting started so I just sucked it up and did the first challenge. I had to kiss a bald man on the head. This was when I wished my dad was around so I could just kiss his bald head! Anyways, I went through with it, and all the other challenges. We walked all around down town doing them and it was alot of fun. After dinner and the scavenger hunt we went back to Sarah's house and started eating tons of candy and drinking sparkling cider and opening presents. In the middle of opening my presents there came a knock at the door. Now I was scared... I knew something was coming but I wasn't sure what to expect. My thoughts turned to Sharly's shower and the words..."as long as its not my brothers" came out. Low and behold.... Brandon, Ben, Alex, and his friend come out followed by Patrick video recording. You can just look at my face to see my reaction. It was ... interesting. We finished up some games and candy and I got a second surprise, Jamie's friends had come to give me a second show! Finally After all the embarrassing half naked boys I had seen we got more settled and watched Bride Wars and had a sleepover. We woke up the next morning and got my favorite Bagels and Golden Bagel, and hit the beach. We spent the day at Del Mar and it was so much fun. It was like we were all in High school again or something. Everyone made sure I put lots of sunscreen on so I wouldn't get a burn! haha even with everything I got a little pink. (of course its me!) Basically, I had THE best Bachelorette party due to the fact that I have the most amazing friends in my life, and family. I don't know why I got to be so lucky in life :) seriously.

all about me, the hubz, and this blog :)

Hi! My name is Alycia Crowley pronounced crow (like a bird) -lee. I started this blog when I moved to Utah for school and my Dad, who was an avid blogger, kept bugging me to start one. My family has always been incredibly close, and they wanted me to give them more than just a phone call update. So I obliged, but didn't post that often. Then one hot night in August I met a cute boy named Trevor and all of a sudden felt like I had something to blog about. Nine months later we were eating dinner watching an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie and Trevor got down on one knee and proposed. After I said, UM, YES! Trevor got up, hugged me tight and said,  "We are going to have so much fun!" That has become a motto in our little family, we think life should be a party and want our life together to be just that. Hence the blog title Crowley Party.

While this blog started out documenting our life together, it has since grown into a creative outlet where I can share everything from the daily happenings of my life, to my personal style and favorite beauty products.

I also have a YouTube Channel as an extension of my blog where I post about my life, style, and beauty products.

Still want to know more? Well, I do aim to please. Here is more of the nitty gritty...

alycia.
I am a sister, daughter, aunt and wife. I have a big family whom I love. I was born in Canada but raised in San Diego, California - I am a California girl through and through. I am loud, I enjoy eating, cuddling, movies, reading, working out, the beach, lacrosse, and anything the involves sunshine. In fact, sunshine was my nick name in college. I like donuts, ice cream, cheeseburgers & pizza. I could, and have, eaten a box of mac n cheese every single day for a straight week. I also love the color of mac n cheese :) I love the smell of the sea, my husband, &all that glitters. I have a serious case of wanderlust & love celebrating life! I graduated from the University of Utah with a Social Science Teaching Composite degree and a Teaching History Minor. I have a passion for education, learning, culture, travel & pretty much everything the world has to offer me! I have spent the last several years working in Marketing, putting my husband through Law School. He recently graduated, started a job at a firm, bought a house, and now we are both working and wondering if this "we are now adults" thing is really actually happening! Speaking of being adults, we found out this past December that we are going to be parents! We will be welcoming a little girl this August and are pinching ourselves that this is our life right now :)

trevor.
We don't hear too much from trevor on this blog. Maybe someday if we are all really lucky he will grace us with some words. While on that subject, I might as well tell you that Trevor is a man of few words. His passion in life is music, guitar to be exact. Our apartment is covered with guitars, and recording equipment. Trevor grew up in St.George, Utah and is a lover of the hot heat and anything that includes water and being outside a.k.a skim boarding, wake boarding, boating... you get the idea? Trevor likes to eat whole pizzas by himself, but don't let that fool you, most of the time he is a total health nut! (which is good since I have the mac-n-cheese addiction thing going on) Trevor served an LDS mission in South Africa, and graduated from the University of Utah in Political Science and Jazz Guitar
Performance. You can usually spot Trevor in a crowd pretty easily, just look for holes in his t-shirt and clothes (he wears things until they literally fall apart) a 5-o-clock shadow that grows back every 24 hours, and a pretty impressive cow lick on the side of his head that resembles Alfalfa :) He recently graduated from Law School and became an Attorney. He loves his job, and is constantly an example to me of what incredible hard work can accomplish!

St. George Temple.

So because the San Diego temple was closed, we decided that I would go through the St.George temple. Not only does it have special meaning to Trevor since that is where he is from and where he first went through, but I am into History (hence me going to school to become a history teacher) and the St.George temple SURE has some history. I love it because it was built to resemble the Nauvoo Temple, which is does and I love Nauvoo. The whole day was really special. My parents came up along with Alex and Sarah and BRANDON came as a surprise which it was indeed! I wasn't expecting him at all and I didn't really realize how long it had been since I had seen him I started crying when I saw him. It has been about a year since I had seen him! So when I went through the temple I had my parents with me, Brandon and even Sharley was in town so she was there. Trevor's parents and Courtney and Eric and some other family members from both sides. It was perfect. The temple is amazing. I really don't have any other way to describe it. After we went out to dinner and it was really and amazing day!
