22 Weeks Pregnancy Update

How far along: I am 22 weeks and 4 days

How big is baby: The size of a Papaya!

Weight Gain: 20 pounds with lots of bloating and retaining water :) haha

Stretch marks: No new ones, same few on my hips and chest. It is funny cause one hip barely even has one, it is really just one side! haha I guess that hip got bigger quicker?

Sleep: This past week sleep has actually been better! My Rhinitis has even been better! Hallelujah!

Craving: I never really left the cereal train, but it has been in full force this week! I got a little crazy and bought about five different cereals this past week all for me :)

Random: Baby girl has this thing she likes to do where she gets all up in my lungs making it hard for me to take a full deep breath. My goodness it is annoying! Thankfully it usually doesn't last long.

Feeling: Baby girl! I am feeling her move so much more now! I now feel her on the daily, especially later in the evening. It isn't so much kicking as her just rolling around in there. It can actually freak me out sometimes, but it is still insanely cool all at the same time.

Notes to my little girl,

Just last night as we were going to bed I was telling your Dad how I hadn't felt you move as much as I usually do that day, and that it made me a little sad. He made a joke about how you must have slept in and got off schedule. Within minutes you were moving around and didn't stop! It was like you knew we were talking about you! It was so funny. What wasn't funny was that you kept moving for the next half hour and I had a hard time going to sleep, haha. I secretly didn't mind though, I like knowing your with me.

  3. Those photos are beautiful! I love following along because I'm just a few days behind you! Our little girl is definitely the mover too and while I absolutely love it, when it's 2am and she wakes me up from kicking I have to remember how much I love it!

  4. You look beautiful! I hope you are enjoying this special time :) Your glimpse into preggo life are so intriguing to me! I'm engaged - no kids yet. Pregnancy sort of excites and terrifies me at the same time. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences!

    1. I am so with you! I have always been fascinated with pregnancy and birth, long before any of that was my reality. It is fun to read and share in experiences and then have them yourself.

  6. Cute top! I get sad too when I have days where I don't feel baby girl move as much. But it usually never fails that when I lay down to go to sleep, I feel her rolling around and kicking/punching. It's such a cool/weird feeling-a lot different than how I expected it to feel. It never felt like fluttering or butterflies for me. I'm sure once she gets bigger it will feel like more distinct kicks and punches, but until then, it just feel like I have a little fish swimming and flopping around in there :)

  7. What a great top. And I love reading about peoples' pregnancy, is that strange?? I am not baby hungry but maybe it's my subconscious telling me to be ready

    1. Yes it is super comfy! And NO it isn't strange at all - I have always enjoyed following pregnancies an reading birth stories long before this! haha I think it just has to do with the fact that I always knew that was something I wanted for myself one day so I found it fascinating. I love the bond it creates amongst women though!

  8. My two biggest cravings when I was pregnant were Frosted Mini Wheats and apples. I literally had to have a bowl of Frosted Mini Wheats every night before bed! So funny! And you look gorgeous, girl!

  12. I used to hate it when the movements stopped. I always used to shine a light on my belly and watch them moving away from it, it would always get them moving, ha! Feeling baby movements is just the best. You wait until you can actually see them moving, I used to literally spend hours watching my belly change shape!

  13. I had 18 boxes of cereal in the house at one point when I was pregnant with Mia, ha ha!! What is it with pregnancy and cereal?! The struggle is real!
I could always count on movement when Eric talked to Mia! She has always LOVED hearing his voice! When she was a newborn, Mia would instantly calm down and be soothed when Eric sang to her... When I tried singing to her?! She would scream bloody murder, ha ha. Not even kidding! I love how they recognize voices and fall in love with them in the womb! This baby is going to be obsessed with Mia, no doubt, since she's always around and is never quiet :)
