Growing up in San Diego I didn't realize what a treat the weather was until I moved away for college. This Christmas was spent at my parents house, back home in some of the most amazing weather I have experienced in San Diego during the winter. It was 75 degrees for the whole week and I
was not complaining one bit. Christmas Eve morning was the perfect lazy
day. Slept in, woke up and ate breakfast with my sister and her boys.
After I joined her in some prenatal yoga, which surprisingly kicked my
butt. I don't know how she does that video let alone pregnant.
I
took a shower in my favorite bathroom in the house. It may sound silly
to have a favorite bathroom, but let me explain. The bathroom upstairs
that I shared with with five other siblings growing up has the best view
from the shower window. While washing your hair you get the perfect
view of these thin tall palm trees. They have always been there since we lived in that house, I grew up looking at those trees in my shower. Sometimes my showers last a little longer because I steal a few moments
where I just take the view in.
I wondered down stairs in my towel, yes, we are that
kind of family, and walked out to the backyard. My sister was sitting
in the grass and playing with Cameron. She insisted I stay, so I just laid right on down next to
her and soaked up the sun while we chatted away!
Later that afternoon the rest of my siblings showed up and the first thing we did was all head to the park up the street and hung out in the sun talking and running around. Such a gorgeous afternoon. Loved reconnecting since we live all over now.
