Before Trevor left for the summer he said he had a parting gift for me. At first I was wondering why he was giving me something, and after he handed it to me I just started laughing. A pink key chain of pepper spray! Classic. So now I have learned how to load the shot gun, and I have this stylish pink pepper spray to sport on my keys. At least I feel protected with him gone!
Trevor left for Vegas almost two weeks ago, so you can imagine I am feeling pretty ready to see him right about now! Thankfully I am flying to Vegas this Friday to spend Memorial Day weekend with him. Trevor has planned out the whole thing and I am pretty excited because it will be including hotel rooms, shows, and all you can eat buffets! A mini vaca :) CAN'T WAIT!
SIDE NOTE...
When I started this blog no one but my mom and dad read it. Since then
it has grown into this wonderful space to share about my life with other
people who relate to it. I enjoy reading about your thoughts, opinions, and sharing in a piece of your life. The human connection is really what everyone wants, and I just wanted to say a little THANK YOU to all the caring and beautiful e-mails, tweets, texts, comments (you name it I got it) from everyone who reads here regarding my latest post. I know posts like that can come off whiny or looking for sympathy, so I was hesitant to share... but I really just wanted to gain some better insight and seek advice from people who may have had similar experiences. Your stories and advice blew me away, and made me realize just how normal it was to be having those insecurities and how it is totally possible and necessary to move past them. So thank you for the LOVE.
I have pink pepper spray on my keychain too! It's always a conversation starter among strangers :-)

haha we are totally the same way! I know exactly where the gun is and i'm totally prepared when my husband is out of town. Don't you love the peace of mind? I guess I need to get some pink pepper spray now.
ReplyDeleteI love knowing that I know how to handle a gun if I need too. I figured, whats the point of having one in the house if I can't use it comfortably and knowledgeably?
DeleteOooo what shows will you be seeing?! If I had to recommend one it would be Le Reve or O. Both fantastic Cirque shows!
ReplyDeleteI'm actually very jealous! I'd love to have some pepper spray just in case and the pink would be the best part aha.
ReplyDeleteSidenote : glad you found what you were looking for with that post. :)
wow! hope you never ever have to use it :)
ReplyDeleteI have pink pepper spray too! I've only walked around with it once so far, but I did feel safer! Enjoy VEGAS!!

ReplyDeleteIt's like a little weapon..... >:)
Sorry it's not ever fun being apart from your other Half. And can I just say I love having a shotgun in my home :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, I didn't read your post from earlier till just now. I tend to be the type that when Girls are mean.....I get walked all over because I hate leaving things "un resolved" I try to make ammends......but over the years I have learned that in order to protect your self... your way about things of "just go your seperate ways" works the best. Doesn't mean that people aren't going to choose to stir the pot and look for the Drama. You are such a sweet and loving person (and I haven't even met you) I can just tell.....I didnt' read each of the 147 comments on your post.....but I noticed that you replied to EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM!! That is a dedicated and Caring Blogger right there!! Ultra Sensitive?? Nah.....not in the way they tried to convince you of.....you are a sensitive Blogger in the fact that YOU CARE ABOUT PEOPLE!! don't ever give that up. There aren't enough CARING people in this world. Keep Being YOU!!
much love,

ReplyDeleteMy boyfriend's mom bought me a pink pepper spray thing too when I moved to "the big city" as she calls it haha I rarely ever have it in my hand though which probably defeats the purpose (unless it's at night!) But I can just imagine someone trying to steal from me and I'd be like please hold, I need to get my pink pepper spray out to defend myself lol
