I had the opportunity to go to a Utah Esthetician School last week! I brought my friend Taira along with me &we were both pretty excited :) We each got to pick one spa treatment. I have never been to a spa before so the whole experience was new for me.
Since I am very fair and am sensitive to the sun, I decided to go with the Environmental Shield Vitamin C Infusion Facial. This facial treatment is scientifically proven to deliver the most powerful and stabilized formulation of pure Vitamin C. Enriched with antioxidants to help repair and prevent free radical damage from environmental exposure. The facial was amazing! The girl who did my facial was very sweet, and answered all of my questions. She was very knowledgeable and gave me some great tips and advice for my skin. The facial started with me going under this light that shows all of your sun damage. WOW.... if there is one thing that will help you put sunscreen on every day it is seeing yourself under this light! They should show kids this early on. It made me really happy I was getting this facial and reminded just how fragile our skin is under the sun. The room where I got my facial done was very relaxing and I wasn't expecting the extra bonus of a light massage on my shoulders and neck. I felt super comfortable throughout my facial and I felt great after. I am pretty sure Trevor is not going to love that I went and had this facial, because now I know how wonderful they are...I think I am addicted :)
My friend Taira had specific concerns with her skin when it came to breaking out and acne. She chose to go with the Clarifying Enzyme Facial, a professional strength treatment designed to improve acne prone skin. Exfoliating natural fruit enzymes of papaya and pineapple, plus antiseptics, antioxidants, and anti-inflammatory ingredients will result in skin clarity and reduction of acne blemishes. She even went for a salicylic peel. Here are her words on the experience...
(Taira buying six more sessions!)
I had a great experience, the girl was very nice and professional. I was so relaxed, and couldn't believe I was at a Utah Esthetician School, and not some high class salon. The salicylic peel was amazing! My face is already looking ten times better. I was so impressed with the facility and their prices that I bought six more sessions before I left! I will keep you updated on those!
Taira &I after our facials... we have no make up on so don't judge!
So basically we both loved it! If you live in the Salt Lake or Utah County area I highly recommend you try them out. The Utah Esthetician School offers you affordable spa treatments, and a great experience. Plus it is super fun to do with a girl friend :)
Thank you for the comment :)
ReplyDeleteThis looks so fun! I have always wondered whether facials work, it's nice to hear that they do!
And it's so lovely that they were nice. I got a manicure (once..I am not very good at this whole girl thing) and the people were so rude. Even though they did a great job I would never go back.
how fun! i just had my first facial done by roommate as her exam (she is in school to be an esthetician) and i just loved it. so relaxing and i was able to get it done for free and help my roommate at the same time :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous! I love facials. Its crazy when you get your first and realize what you've been missing your whole life! You are right- it's definitely addicting!
ReplyDeletep.s. you should definitely try boxing. it is a bit intimidating at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's a lot of fun! plus boxing gyms usual let you try your first time for free! :)
Aw looks like you had a good time! :) Would be a good idea to go to a spa with a friend, that would be fun!

I have never had a spa facial before but, everyone I know who has raves about how good their skill feels after. You think something that gets as much sun and wear as my face would be a higher priority..lol. I totally want to do this someday!! Thanks for the nudge;0
ReplyDeletei can't wait to go try them out! i love when spa treatments are affordable!
ReplyDeleteI so need to go and get a facial...pity I don't live in Utah right now...would've been fun to try it out! :D
ReplyDeleteoh, that looks like so much fun! i wish we had a similar school here in our area...that would be nice :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun time! I get massages at a school like that where I live. So great and not bad on the purse :)
ReplyDeleteMy sisters in law and I went out a couple years ago and got facials, foot massages and the full body massage in one day. It was absolutely amazing!!!! It was a first for me and I loved it! The last time we went two of us were pregnant and had to get the maternity massage which wasn't that great, but still pretty good.
ReplyDeleteI think you and Sarah should go once she's up there!
ReplyDeleteHi! Thanks for the comment on my blog :) Your blog is super cute

Hey Alycia!
ReplyDeleteI would love to go for facials! I think I should stop spending money on things I need, like a new pair of glasses, and start spending money on spoiling myself! You just convinced me! :)
Thanks for the follow on my side and the lovely comment! Much appreciated! Hope you have a lovely day!
I haven't had a facial in like 7 years. I need go get one!!
ReplyDeleteHi! thanks for the comment on my blog! :) I am SO jealous of your facial. It sounds AMAZING! I've never had one, but I would love to. That's one of those luxuries in life that I pretty much gave up the chance to have when I married my husband who gets bent out of shape over his $10 hair cuts! haha!
