Emotions...

This morning Trevor and I have a friend's wedding to go.
I absolutely love weddings.
I am such a sucker for weddings, and births.
I like to watch TLC and I just bawl whenever a baby is born, and whenever I see a wedding ceremony.
I am a total emotional baby.
My freshman year of college I was all alone in my apartment. I didn't really know my new roommates that well yet. They walked in on me during an episode of a Baby Story on TLC, right at the part where the woman was delivering her baby.
I was sobbing, and they all started laughing at me, haha.
(Embarrassing first impression.)
I remember being so afraid at my own wedding that I would just start bursting into tears.
I contemplated not wearing any make up during the ceremony because I didn't want to be a "mascara" bride!
I held my emotions in check pretty well until it came to Trevor's turn to say yes or not.
(I wasn't worried that he wouldn't by the way!)
He just looked me straight in the eyes while he answered.
Which of course made me start crying.
I tried really really hard to control it so there would be no sob sounds.
I think I did a pretty good job.
I was just full of so many different emotions, and couldn't hold it in once I realized that we were MARRIED!
It was a beautiful moment that I will never forget.

P.S. Speaking of weddings and beautiful things, have you checked out the ad to the right and seen all the lovely things at brideblu? There will be more on this lovely etsy shop soon!

  6. The back of that dress is stunning! I am a sucker for weddings. I want someone to get married everyday so I can partake. My husband is NOT a crier and when he cried during our wedding, I didn't think I could handle it. Those moments are so special!

  9. You are not alone! I cry through every wedding and I cry during A Baby Story, too. I held it together during the ceremony, but I was crying all before and when we left the reception. Ha! I wanted to keep it together during everything, but I had to let it out after!

  11. This is me watching TLC's baby story every dang time:
I'm absolutely horrified during the labor process (one of my biggest fears) then, as soon as that baby hits the mother's arms, I'm in shambles. There's no stopping the tears. I'm laughing a little too because the whole scene is a little redonculous. :) Glad I have a kindred spirit.

  12. Oh girl - you aren't alone!! I do the same thing... I could seriously cry at a wedding and not even know the people about to marry =) I love watching Baby Story on TLC and my husband is always telling me he doesn't want to see that... another woman giving birth! ha ha
I just embrace my emotional side and realize I love my (extra) feelings!

  16. I remember my husbands sister telling me that she was glad I cried because she didn't want to be the only one :) I cry during all of those same shows PLUS shows about DisneyLand. You shouldn't feel embarrassed about your tears now that you've heard about my secret. Seriously.

  17. I hear ya! My first year of college, all 5 of my roommates and I would sit down almost every day to watch A Baby Story together. But then there were 3 of us that would bawl, and the other 3 would laugh at us.

  23. I'm such a cry baby.
I am not allowed to watch Grey's Anatomy. It's the show that makes me cry the most.
But at weddings and births, I cry as well. And when I see those shows where someone searches for a family member, like the birth mom, and when they are finally reunited in the end.

And I totally adore the picture! So pretty.

  24. Oh, the simplest things make me cry. Cute kids; looking at people's wedding pictures; stories about falling in love. It's so easy for me to cry. I've come to accept that I am a cry baby. (:

  25. I love YOUR blog. It is super cute. I am also a cry baby, so don't sweet it. It's totally a girl thing. I totally cried when I was kneeling across the alter with my husband. I will never forget that moment. It was the happiest moment in my life.

  27. I'm totally the same way! Our wedding was the last time I saw my husband cry, and I'll never forget it. It was sooooo endearing, and I treasure that moment so much! Probably my absolute favorite part of our wedding. :-) I bawled SOOOOO much! I went waterproof, though, just so I didn't look like Ke$ha. :-)

  37. Hey thanks for your comment on my blog :).

ha ha and that totally makes me laugh about crying over the birth stories on TLC. I'm the SAME WAY. My husband just rolls his eyes. I can't help it!

In fact - when I was pregnant with my son I was so emotional about that very thing that we went and saw Ice Age III in 3D and when the mama elephant (Ellie?) gave birth to her baby elephant son and he gave his first cry, I cried at that part too. Yes. I cried over the birth of a cartoon elephant.

Ha ha and I just admitted that on your blog and we've never met. And now you probably officially think I'm crazy. Or you totally understand. :)

    Anyway, you're not alone!
