So I am very very close to my little brother.... &had to say goodbye to him for two years last week. My little sister Sarah and my parents came up to Utah to drop him off, &it was so much fun to have some of the family together. The day before we went to drop him off the MTC and had a BBQ with family &friends.
Last hug for two years :( I bawled like a baby saying goodbye to him.
Now this was kind of embarrassing to post.... but it truly captures my emotions at the time. I love him so much, and I will miss him more then I thought I would.

As quoted in the car as we left the MTC by the author of this blog "Let's face it, the Blonde family was always tighter than the Brown Family." :) Write him lots and that will help. I'm putting together a little family album to send to him this week. Love you xxoo
ReplyDeleteoh the send off is rough!! but. he's doing good things.
ReplyDeleteThat last picture is SO sweet!
ReplyDeleteOhhh that last photo made my cry too! What a beautiful post, sweetie:) Have a lovely day:) See you soon!
ReplyDeleteTheres no reason to be embarrassed! It is HARD to say goodbye for two years! When my hubby left me for his mission I thought I was literally going to DIE. I can only imagine how hard it would be w/blood!
ReplyDeletePS i LOVE your outfit in the first few pics!!!
Aw, what a sweet last pic!!
ReplyDeleteyour skirt & boots are so cute!
ReplyDeleteI am the same way with my brother. He is getting married in October, I will cry for days!
hey, so this is probably a silly question but I am catholic & I don't know all of the mission criteria. Can he not have any contact with you for 2 years?
ReplyDeleteplease don't be offended I am just super curious.
You're so cute! I remember how hard that is- thankfully I'm done shipping off my brothers and the last one comes home in a month! It goes by really fast!
ReplyDeleteOh Anna I am in now way offended! haha When a young man leaves to go on a mission for the LDS church he can only write people for the whole two years, except for on Christmas and Mother's Day he gets to make a phone call only to his family, and his mother.
ReplyDeleteMy brother left this March to be a monk in a silent monastery for the rest of his life. All we can do is write letters. Fortunately we can visit him, and we are this week. But he lives two states away, so we probably will only see him once a year. So just think, it's only two years! It'll go by quickly!
ReplyDeleteAnd don't you love how the drop-off is about 30 seconds?! AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteyour pictures are so beautiful!! i'll definitely keep you guys in my prayers!! your brother is off making the world a better place!!
ReplyDeleteok, I'm crying again!! I said goodbye to him on the phone in a store and was bawling in the store!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your first outfit- so cute! My brother-in-law just left for his mission, too... it's really cute to get his emails every week. You'll love it.
ReplyDeleteI cried like a baby the day my twin brother left for the MTC, it was way more tough than I thought it would be. I actually wish I had a picture that captured that emotion. I feel for ya, girl.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I love your blog. Thanks for sharing. :)
I think that last picture is cute. Sibling love, right there. :) It's so sad at first when they leave but "it'll fly by!" <--everyone says that. :) My little bro just got back from his mission last week and it's been so fun to see how he's changed and grown into a better person. You'll love getting all his spiritual letters. :)
ReplyDeletep.s. Hi, my name is Crystal. I feel like we should have an introduction or something! You wrote on my blog a little while back... I'm not a creepy stalker, I promise. ;)
that last picture made my eyes water.
ReplyDeleteTHANKS A LOT.
