This New Years Eve, Kira and Justin came out with me and Trevor and my friend Nicole to the big young adults dance. It was a lot of fun to go out with Kira since growing up there was such an age gap we never really got to do these fun kind of things together. We played laser Tag, Saw a magician, and danced the night away. It was a lot of fun! The morning after we continued something that has kind of become a tradition in our family for New Years day to go take a hike somewhere. Like last year we went to my all time favorite, Torrey Pines Hike. It was so fun and so beautiful. I LOVE the ocean. :) It was the perfect way to kick start the New Year. Only negative of the hike was having to all cram into the car since they were not going to let anymore cars up to the parking spaces, but we begged and could let one car go so we all climbed in.... we got a lot of stares but it was funny. After the hike Grandma took us out to Souplantation. It was a great afternoon!
So one of our fabulous family outings we all went to this amazing hidden treasure in San Diego called Kit Carson Park. It reminded me so much of when I went to Park Güell in Barcelona! It was fun to look at the cool artwork and sculptures all over representing story's of California and California's beginning. After exploring and climbing all over everything, we went to Chee Burger Chee Burger! OH my Trevor and I love this place :) amazing amazing amazing... Brandon trying the pounder challenge (I was very impressed) He finished while getting a shake as well... crazy! It was a fun evening. Later that night I went out to dinner with my friends Jamie and Sarah at Bucca Di Beppo (another favorite) which was SO good and fun to see them. It is no surprise I gained 3 pounds over Christmas Break eating out so much to these great places. After dinner Sarah had to leave but me and Jamie went to see a movie. What a great day :)

Me and my friend Allie and Katy have a tradition. It all started back on my 16th Birthday when they came over to my house to surprise me and took me out to breakfast. They took me to this really fun restaurant in Del Mar right by the water. It is an original building from the city's history and they have the most amazing breakfast menu. Ever since then we would always take each other there for eachother's birthdays, and now that we are all out of highschool, whenever we are home we go together. So of course we met up at Americana for breakfast :)After the perfect morning catching up with two of my most dearest and truest friends, the whole family went to the ZOO at night while they have all their Christmas Lights up. The lights were pretty cool to see, and we ended up enjoying the park with not alot of people around, and seeing the animals you normally wouldn't get to see that are awake and about during the night. The best was for sure the Lions. I have never seen them that active and loud and up close before. A very fun night with the family. Plus I got to hold cute adorable babies all night. It doesn't get much better then that now does it?

Christmas was a lot of fun. We all woke up (WAY too early in my opinion!) and watched the little grandkids get all excited over their Santa gifts. It was very sweet. Trevor got me some boots for the winter I had been wanting and then totally blew me by surprise by giving me some pearl earrings. He said he saw them and thought they were very "me." Pearls and me... wow does my husband know me :) I gave him the the complete set of seasons for one of his favorite T.V. shows Arrested Development (which he loved) the guitar I worked on for him (which I think he was surprised by) and then the gift for both of us, a (romantic) gondola ride down in Coronado bay. We got a lot of really great gifts and are so thankful to everyone. Later we ate mom's traditional pull apart cinnamon breakfast :) yum and then dug through our stockings. We chilled around the house and then went to Christmas Card Lane with everyone later that evening, which is a must here in Rancho Peñasquitos. A perfect day, a perfect Christmas, and mine and Trevor's first Christmas together :)
P.S. All these grand babies around is torture, they are so adorable and perfect, it makes me want one haha :)
