Boy or Girl?

Hope you all have an amazing Easter Sunday with your family and friends today! I am enjoying mine right now with my parents being in town and watching conference.

Tomorrow we get to find out what the gender is! I am beyond excited :) Being perfectly honest I haven't had any feelings either way on this, which has been kind of disappointing. I was really hoping I would have some strong mother intuition of the sex. I have had two random dreams about our baby and in each dream it has been a girl. That is about all I have to go on. I have been asked so many times what I want, and the only response I have is a healthy baby! I could honestly care less what we have. Trevor on the other hand really wants a boy, so he has just been assuming that is what it is. Can't wait to see his face if it is a girl, haha.

So what do you guys think, BOY or GIRL?

Based on all the wives tales questions, I should supposedly be having...

Ancient Chinese Birth Chart: The chart says I am having a BOY.

Ring on a String Test: It swung in a circle so BOY.

Morning Sickness: Yes, wasn't bad for long, but supposedly if you have morning sickness, it is a GIRL.

Heart Rate: 169 & 143, above 140 so GIRL.

Sleep Position: I was a belly sleeper, so transitioning to my sides wasn’t all that comfortable. I prefer my left side over my left though, and that says BOY.
Bigger Legs: If your legs get really big, means a boy. If your legs stay in shape and lean, a girl. Well my legs have gotten much bigger then they were, haha, so BOY.

Soft or Dry Hands: If your hands are dry during pregnancy, you are having a boy; soft -- expect a girl. My hands are always dry, so I don't know how much weight this has but, BOY.

Food Cravings: Your favorite pregnancy foods may tell you what sex the baby is. If you're craving citrus while pregnant, you're having a girl. I haven't craved citrus, so BOY.

Adult Acne: If altering hormones makes your skin break out, expect a girl. I broke out for about one week very early on in my pregnancy, but everything has been clear since, so I am going to say no, so BOY.

Face Weight Gain: If your face gets fuller, it means you're having a girl. Yes, my face is fuller! GIRL.

Sugar and Spice Food Cravings: Craving salt during pregnancy? Potato chips, pretzels, and popcorn means a boy is on the way. Need a little something sweet? Ice cream, chocolate, and candy means you're having a girl. I would say this is about a tie right now but if I had to pick one I would say more sugar, so GIRL.
There are way more where this came from, and it was comical to go through them, but really I don't believe any of these. I guess we will know tomorrow! :)

  1. Wives tales are so much fun! My legs got HUGE and I had a girl! BUT my face also got HUGE which means girl, and I had a girl. The wives tales for me were about half and half too. I did have the mother's intuition though. From our 8 week appointment, I knew she was a girl. Kept telling my husband (who wanted a boy) that he better be ready. He didn't believe me. Even after a gender sono at 12, 14, and 16 weeks (had routine sonos for certain reasons and I had them check every time), he didn't believe it until our gender scan at 19 weeks. He loves his little girl now, but he just wouldn't believe me! Can't wait to see what you're having! Enjoy this special time!

  3. I had 2 dreams that I was having a girl, and my husband wanted a boy really badly too. The first thing he said when I told him I was pregnant was I hope it's a boy! Well now we have a 6 month old girl, just like in my dreams. And he couldn't be happier that she's our baby!

  4. I put a lot of weight on dreams! I dreamt my oldest was born at 9 lbs 4 oz. I told the nurse about it during labor and she said, "Oh Honey, you're too small for such a big baby." Well, guess what! He weighed exactly 9 lbs 4 oz. So I say GIRL.

  5. On all those test, I picked 11 to do and ended up with 6 saying boy and 5 saying girl and I had a boy. So I guess they were right! Good luck!

  6. I never had morning sickness and after reading all this crazy wives tails I SWORE I was having a boy. When that ultrasound tech told me girl I was a little shocked. But happy none the less. Good luck and I can't wait to see what God has blessed you with. (:
