Pigskin...

One thing that is so cool about living in Salt Lake City, is being here when there is a University of Utah Football game going on.
I remember the first time I was here and seeing the sea of red cram onto the trax line and all the traffic of people heading to the stadium.
You got to love college towns.
This weekend Trevor and I had tickets to a coveted game. Two undefeated ranked teams. TCU vs. Utah. We met up with some friends for the game.
I knew that TCU would beat us, but they kind of creamed us.
Oh wellllllllll. I still love my Utes, we still have a good looking season with one loss, and I truly admire TCU and would love to see them go all the way. They are ranked the Number 1 defense and it showed.
About halfway through the game we were wishing we had sold our tickets since they were going for such high prices! BUT we still had fun.
I just love the atmosphere of a jam packed football stadium on a game day :)

Trevor could do his hair more often.... haha.

A White Chocolate covered Red Velvet Cake Pop :) Perfect for Utes Pride!

This is about when we were wishing we had sold our tickets.... HA!

Emotions...

This morning Trevor and I have a friend's wedding to go.
I absolutely love weddings.
I am such a sucker for weddings, and births.
I like to watch TLC and I just bawl whenever a baby is born, and whenever I see a wedding ceremony.
I am a total emotional baby.
My freshman year of college I was all alone in my apartment. I didn't really know my new roommates that well yet. They walked in on me during an episode of a Baby Story on TLC, right at the part where the woman was delivering her baby.
I was sobbing, and they all started laughing at me, haha.
(Embarrassing first impression.)
I remember being so afraid at my own wedding that I would just start bursting into tears.
I contemplated not wearing any make up during the ceremony because I didn't want to be a "mascara" bride!
I held my emotions in check pretty well until it came to Trevor's turn to say yes or not.
(I wasn't worried that he wouldn't by the way!)
He just looked me straight in the eyes while he answered.
Which of course made me start crying.
I tried really really hard to control it so there would be no sob sounds.
I think I did a pretty good job.
I was just full of so many different emotions, and couldn't hold it in once I realized that we were MARRIED!
It was a beautiful moment that I will never forget.

P.S. Speaking of weddings and beautiful things, have you checked out the ad to the right and seen all the lovely things at brideblu? There will be more on this lovely etsy shop soon!

gluteus maximus...

So remember how I said I was going to try to not put on holiday weight?!
I was doing SO good, and had even lost a couple pounds.
Then Halloween happened and there is candy everywhere, and I am getting lazy.
So I was looking up some things online and came across
Gwyneth Paltrow's routine she used to get in shape for Iorn Man 2.
She actually posted a short video of her trainer and and some simple things you can do
to work out your butt and thighs. TRUST ME, they will be burning!
Thought I would share the wealth incase anyone else is trying to stay in shape
during the hardest months of the year to not gain!

Childhood Memories...

There is a place where the sidewalk ends
And before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the peppermint wind.

Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends.
Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white arrows go
To the place where the sidewalk ends.

Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
For the children, they mark, and the children, they know
The place where the sidewalk ends.
