a 1920's murder mystery...

It has taken me forever to post about the 1920's murder mystery dinner I was able to attend this summer! I was so excited to get dressed up and go out with my friends. When I got to the party I was assigned the character of a flapper named Rosie May. I was perfectly dressed to be a flapper, and I had a blast playing out the character throughout the night.

Another highlight for me was being able to wear some special jewelry pieces. My black and white long pearl necklaces are real, and gifts from my dad when he would travel around Asia. They are super special to me, but it is often hard to find events to wear them to. This was the perfect night for them. I also busted out my wedding head piece. That too is something that has only made a few appearences since my wedding day, and I loved wearing it again.

In the end, the murder was such a shock! ;) It was a fun night, and I can't thank Michelle from Twig Creative and Anne Lily Design enough for the invite.

Why can't we dress like it is the 1920's every day?! Although with that said, it is coming back into fashion everywhere I look, especially weddings.

See that adorable lady down there? That is Rachel, whose blog is  Brachel Boulevard  cleverly named "Brachel" which is her and her husband's self-proclaimed "celebrity couple" name, you already love them right? Follow these two as they share about their life with their two kids, their travels around Europe, and then some. You won't be disappointed.

  13. I have always wanted to go to a murder mystery party! It probably comes from my childhood obsession with Clue.

Y'all look so cute in your 20s gear! I love the way 20s style looks, but I do not love the way it looks on me. It is not a good look for me at all. I am much more of a 50s-60s style girl.
